Tim and the Trenow Story

Seven years ago, Tim—co-founder of Pukka Herbs and deeply passionate about the healing power of plants—came across a remarkable piece of coastal land called Trenow Fields, nestled near St. Michael’s Mount in Cornwall. At that time, the land was being intensively farmed using conventional, monocropping methods, and it had lost much of its biodiversity. Something in the air, the soil, and the light spoke to Tim. He felt an undeniable connection to the soul of the place and saw an opportunity to bring it back to life.

A vision emerged to restore Trenow Fields to its natural beauty and create a sanctuary for nature. He dreamed of letting the land rest, healing it from the pressures of industrial farming and prior mining activities. More than just farmland, a place where nature could flourish and the power of herbs be recognised. Re-establishing harmony and becomng a paltform for peace. Focusing on lavenders, rosemary, and other medicinal plants, Tim began the journey of converting the land to organic, experimenting with various crops and veg, whilst planting around 8500 trees, transforming it into a place of healing and regeneration.

Little by little, the earth responded. In 2021 Trenow became organically certified. We now produce organic essential oils, each one capturing the essence of the land—infused with the sea breeze, the Cornish light, and the ancient energy of the Mary and Michael ley lines that run through it. The oils are a testament to our deep respect for nature and intention to help people connect to their well-being by integrating the power of herbs into everyday life.

Today, Trenow Fields stands as a thriving sanctuary of biodiversity, a living example of what can happen when we work in harmony with the land. Our love for this special place continues to grow, as does our commitment to sharing its natural medicine with others. It’s a story of restoration, renewal, and the deep connection between people and the earth.
